Supply chain management is a relatively new topic which began to take shape in the 1980s and has gained momentum, in recent years, with advances in digital technology. In this module students will identify the needs of the customer and how to develop relationships, conventionally adversarial and arm’s length, to one of mutuality and trust. They will study the impact of the New Industrial Revolution, and the emergence of rapid manufacturing, advanced robotics and digitisation of the supply chain.

Our graduates are employed in buying, merchandising, strategic marketing, e-commerce, sourcing and allocating, sales, production management and more, and often use their knowledge to start their careers as freelancers.

This one-year diploma will give you an intensive introduction to computer science and a qualification equivalent to A-levels, opening the doors to university study. Students also have the opportunity of collaborations and studying within partner international educational institutions for a period of time during year two. Costs vary hugely between countries and areas, so it is very important to research costs well ahead of time and budget accurately.

Depending on the career you’re interested in, it’s likely that you’ll need to study a suitable postgraduate degree or get some good work experience. Fashion photographers and journalists, for example, could look for work in a different area, such as sport or food, although you’ll usually need to study a relevant postgraduate degree and/or get some work experience in this area. You will learn about every aspect of the fashion design process, from research and design development to garment construction and utilising media to present fashion concepts to the public. You will work in 2D and 3D and explore areas such as textiles, styling, photography, trend forecasting, pattern cutting, draping and fashion drawing/illustration. This will be underpinned by your study of fashion business and marketing, the history of fashion and its wider cultural context. Combining theory with creative practice, you will be able to develop intellectual, technical and professional skills and knowledge to succeed.

The module reflects the emergence of interdisciplinary teams of marketers and consumer psychologists to unpack fashion shopping behaviour, deliver meaningful consumer experiences and ultimately deliver results for the fashion sector. The module also explores the powerful influence of fashion on consumer wellbeing in line with UN SDG 3. This module develops the core skills that will enable students to secure a fulfilling, enjoyable and challenging graduate career.
